How love feels (expo)

Exhibition

The Challenge
Love is universal, yet deeply personal and often difficult to articulate. The challenge of How Love Feels was to translate intimate experiences of love into a spatial and visual form that could be shared publicly without losing emotional nuance. How can vulnerability be made tangible while remaining respectful and authentic.

The Concept
Over several months, interviews and handwritten love letters were collected, forming the foundation of the project. These narratives were translated into paintings, photographs and interactive objects, creating a layered exhibition environment where stories could be encountered visually and physically.

To bring emotional texture into the space, a series of cushions was developed using different materials. Each material embodied specific sensations and feelings described in the interviews, allowing visitors to engage through touch as well as sight. A sculptural piece honouring my parents formed a central element within the exhibition, grounding the project in personal lineage. Subtle hidden details were integrated throughout the space, encouraging attentive exploration and discovery.

The Outcome
How Love Feels became an immersive exhibition that transformed personal narratives into shared experience. By combining storytelling, material exploration and spatial design, the project created a setting in which visitors could reflect on intimacy, vulnerability and connection. Love was repositioned from an abstract concept to a multi sensory encounter, something to see, to touch and to feel within a collective space.
