A Transformative Seating Experience

After months of intensive research, developing various prototypes, and combining unconventional materials, the moment has finally arrived: I proudly present The Scratch. This unique design is born from the combination of brooms and papier-mâché, using paper sourced from discarded boxes and cardboard that IKEA no longer needed. The idea behind this chair was to transform the act of sitting into a new experience, pushing the boundaries of conventional design. This project is not just an idea; it is one of the two home assignments I created for my admission to the Design Academy Eindhoven. After receiving a lot of positive feedback and seeing many happy faces, I was ultimately accepted. Through The Scratch, I have truly explored and showcased my creativity.
